Project PUG Tank: Sunday afternoon edition.
Three more runs for the afternoon. All three of these runs completed with the same roster they started with.
Pug run #3: Vortex Pinnacle.
The initial line of sight pull was a mess, because nobody moved out of line of sight. The hunter trapped the instant the blue square went out onto any mob, so I learned to save it for last. Nobody followed instructions on the grounding field pulls in the second half of the instance. I was baffled, because I gave instructions that I hoped were clear, and besides, why wouldn’t you hide in the grounding fields if you’re ranged? You take no damage in there!
Final boss kill was uneventful, however.

Pug run #4: Stonecore.
Cheated by running with two friends on alts: shaman healer and a fire mage. The run was accident-prone but wipe-free. The earthshaper in the early pulls with Millhouse, for instance, almost always came unsheeped and succeeded in transforming. Several groups were facepulled during the approach to Ozruk. And somehow the DK (I think) managed to pull the room before the final boss during the final boss fight. Having a Stonecore Bruiser booming around through that mess of adds made the fight extra-exciting. The DK died to a meteor (I think) so the fight dragged on a while. However, the friend doing the healing kept his head and we worked through it. The DK then need rolled on Leaden Despair against me. Sigh. I know, he can roll, but I personally always wait to need roll on off-spec items until I see that all the main specs who might want it have passed. It is a better trinket for DK tanks than for warriors, but at level 83, the guy can go tank his own normals if he wants it. Fortunately I won. Aegidius’s trinkets are crud right now.

Pug run #5: Throne of Tides
Cheated once again. The shammy friend took a moment to put useful spells like Chain Heal, Healing Rain, and Purge on his bars. (“Think they’ll help?” he said, drily. He’s main spec ele and this was his first time healing.) The pug ret pally said it was his first time in the instance and he’d appreciate boss explanations, and he said it in complete sentences. I gave my best explanations. The shadow priest was impatient but skillful.
